Review of "You Wouldn't Want to Sail With the Spanish Armada" EJMcHenry The author of this book hit his target perfectly! The combination of information with humor and cartoons is very appealing to kids in grades 3-5. The author manages to inform the young readers about this famous topic without getting tangled in details that would be either gruesome or politically offensive to modern readers. Very nicely handled. And the good news is that it's part of a whole series, so there are lots more once you finish this one!
