A great read. book_worm I'm going to start by saying that I wasn't sure how interesting this story would be. After all the main character is deaf, blind, and mute. I was very wrong. This book was very good. I had a hard time putting it down until I finished. I enjoyed getting to know Lee and Betsie, and seeing the struggle that he goes through everyday with his faithful companion by his side. I liked that there were some appearances and mentions of some of his other characters and works. I loved that we get to see Lee finally seesing that he is still able to work a case even when he thought it impossible. I also loved that he found Rachel! All. What an amazing storyline 'Winter Wind' completely blew me away. I was pulled in from the beginning and couldn't put this book down. The storyline was well written and well thought out. It was full of mystery, hope and humor. Lee had such a humorous outlook. I loved his sarcasm. His journey was quite astounding. I laughed, teared up and laughed again. Rachel amazed me. She could have had such a huge chip on her shoulder for how her life turned out, but she is so beautiful, inside and out. Same for Lee. This book was a great read. A definite must add to your tbr list.
