J. Levy said Pas d'accents. Cette edition manque les accents. This edition is missing the accents on the vowels. Very distracting and difficult to read.. Hugo Dart said A lesser-known masterpiece, but a masterpiece nonetheless. The sequel to Dumas's classic "The Three Musketeers" is a classic in its own right. The author's brilliant prose is every bit as sharp, his writing just as able to bring smiles and tears to the reader.It is a crime that this book has been read by so few people, comparatively speaking. It makes the most wonderful gift to any lover of literature.. Just to offset the incorrect review about this edition's lacking accents This is a very nice Garnier Flammarion two-volume pocket paperback set of Vingt ans apres.It does not lack accents. (The other comment must pertain to another edition.) It is very nicely printed.
Vingt ans après est la suite qu'Alexandre Dumas donne à partir de 1845 aux Trois Mousquetaires. Le caractère des personnages principaux y est beaucoup plus développé que dans le premier livre. À voir cette simarre rouge et ces riches dentelles, à voir ce front pâle et courbé sur la méditation, à voir la solitude de ce cabinet, le silence des antichambres, le pas mesuré des gardes sur le palier, on eût pu croire que l'ombre du cardinal de Rich
