Xan said Fun super hero read. Gah, this book!When I read ONE I really liked Merrin, I wanted her to succeed and was somewhat irritated by Elias's lack of drive and cautious behaviour. In TWO we get the story from Elias's perspective. At first, I struggled with it. I was still a little annoyed by him from ONE and all I really wanted was to hang out in Merrin's head but then something happened. I started to like Elias, and not just like him but agree with him. Merrin started to annoy me, especially how blind she was to the possible consequences of her actions, which seemed entirely selfish and self-serving. The character I'd grown so at. I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Leigh Ann's One earlier this year for the blog tour hosted by InkSlingerPR. And I absolutely adored it! Leigh Ann did an amazing job of creating unique, likeable characters and after I finished, I wasn't ready to let them go! When I found out she was writing a companion novel that would be from Elias's POV, I think I freaked out. No, really.Elias is the beautiful, kind, caring boy who took a chance on befriending the new girl at school and refused to give up on her, even after she pushed him away. Watching him break down those barriers she had constructed and ge. Once As much I enjoyed the first book, I couldn’t wait to continue this series. The first book ends at an exciting scene and I wanted to find out what Elias and Merrin would do next. However, I just couldn’t click with this book as I did with the first one. I don’t know if my reason for not connecting and having a difficulty staying focus is the different POV or maybe because of the slow pace. I do know what it was but I really did struggle getting through this book.Be careful what you wish you for, is the theme of this book. Throughout the book we followed the journey of Merrin and Elias as
