A Powerful and Thought-provoking Read If you have never read one of Phyllis Gunderson's books, you should, for you are in for a treat. Her characters are well-developed and unforgettable. She reminds me a little of Arthur Hailey in that you are carried along with a wonderful plot and, at the same time, learning so much about subjects you didn't even realize you were interested in until you read one of her books. Her writing style is witty and sometimes you will find yourself smiling at some of the things her characters say and the way they say them. Twenty Days t. A suspenseful and heart-wrenching story nj grambo I’m a Matt Howard fan. Pragmatic and determined as always, my favorite fictional archaeologist inherits a haunted house and a gold mine. Unable to live in the house, sell the property, or profit from the gold, Matt finds herself in a frustrating and dangerous predicament. Gunderson, a superb writer, weaves historical facts into this suspenseful and sometimes heart-wrenching story.
