Il Moro di Venezia said Adorable story and beautiful illustration. How could anyone NOT like a book about a little girl, her faithful dog, and a unicorn statue that comes to life. Neil Reed's story - and particularly his illustrations - are captivating. I do love the special touch about the little girl's dog. Even though she has made this fantastic unicorn her friend, she does not lose affection for or neglect her loving dog. It's wonderful to show how chidren do not have to choose between friends. "Beautiful book" according to Johnny. Our daughter loves this book and the illustrations are beautiful. A very large hard back book. It a terrific story..
