I still can remember that night I went to his room after bedtime to tell him to go to bed and he was reading Percy Jackson! In his senior year of high school he was in AP English.. th grade. Series just keeps getting better As an adult, reading "juvenile" books comes with a certain stigma. But, having read every Percy Jackson book released to date, I loved watching him grow from a misunderstood adolescent to a confident leader. When I first started reading the original series, which I picked up entirely because of the authors last name (Riordan is my son's first name), I expected a campy ripoff of the Harry Potter series. Instead, I found witty dialog, funny, yet insightful inner monologue, and young adults struggling to make wise choices in an ever shifting world. This book series introduces five new characters to acco. "Appropriate content for young and pre-teen readers, great series" according to Ryan. This just arrived yesterday. The packaging appears nice for what you're paying for, with the set wrapped in clear plastic. The only thing I don't like is the price is printed on the bottom of the box under the plastic, and I plan to give this as a gift. That aside, my children LOVE the Rick Riordan books and have read The Percy Jackson series. We found one of these books at a thrift store and they practically devoured it.My kids reading this series are in Appropriate content for young and pre-teen readers, great series This just arrived yesterday.
