Decent Story but Too Heavy on Jesus A Customer Being a baseball fan, a Mets fan, and a Gary Carter fan, I thought I would like this book and learning more about the man. The closer I got, the less I liked.There was a lot to like in the book. The parts about his family, especially his brother, mother and father are wonderful. I also felt he was given a bum rap in Montreal, he was roundly criticized for NOT being a b. Gary Carter: An accurate autobiography While this book is old, I'd never read it until 2012. Anyone who knew Gary Carter knows this is really the way he was. It's not a flowery "Aren't-I-the-greatest?" autobiography, rather it's insightful and revealing, warts and all although with this man there were never many. It's well-written, with very few typos and inaccuracies, and I wondered why after a book this g. AMAZING !!! oN THIS ONE I GAVE IT 5 STARS !!!! bEING A BIG MET FAN & ALSO GARY CARTER, I WASN'T AWARE THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN,HE WAS TRULY A REMARKABLE HUMAN BEINGIT'S TOO BAD ONE OF HIS DREAMS OF BECOMING A MAJOR LEAGUE MANAGER DIDN'T COME TRUE AS EVERYONE KNOWS CATCHERS MAKE GREAT MANAGERS HE WILL TRULY ME MISSED !!!
