The author does an excellent job of taking us back in time and creating a story based on real family members during a particularly difficult period of England’s history. The characters are believably fleshed out drawing the reader into their lives and struggles, their loves and losses and their faith as they strive for a better future. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series ready to be swept along in their quest as they step out in faith leaving the hardships of the peasant life i.
