DESCRIPTION:

A Customer said Excellent book.. I found "Start and Run a Profitable Coffee Bar" an excellent book for restaurant novice such as myself. I have operated a business but not a restaurant or coffee shop. This book is excellent. It provided many different forms which would be useful in running a coffee bar. The book also included in an appendix coffee organizations and suppliers, helping the novice tremendously. I would definitely recommend purchasing this book if you are interested in starting a coffee bar or shop.. Not bad, but could use a broader perspective MakerDave This book delivers some very useful information, especially with respect to business plans and the intricacies of incorporating your business, buying insurance, etc. That said, the author clearly has the mindset of a hardnosed middle manager, and the focus of the book is far more about maximizing profit margins and actively soliciting sales than running a people-friendly business. An inordinate amount of attention is given to in-store roasting, which by far overshadows the actual coffee bar part of the operations. Also, the author gives some terrible advice on handling staff and customers, advocating lowballing. James H. said Five Stars. Good book, lots of info about coffee bars.
