DESCRIPTION:
Linda Scholz said stair builders handbook. Didnt care for the book, drawings were horrible and about the only thing its good for is the stair tables.basically no information on how to do cleated or dado stairs which is what i was trying to do.. Not worth the money This book contains very little practical information on staircase construction and assembly. Most of the book consists of stair tables ( 95 % of it ) for stair layout which any competent carpenter can figure on the job in a few minutes. While the tables are complete and may save a little time, the few sections on stair layout and assembly are limited in scope and vaguely written. If you want to learn more about staircase construction, save your money and pass this one up!. handbook kenny g hi ken here.love the book great reference very quick for me dont hav to break out the squares with this book i can adjust very easylove the book i dont leave home without one
If you know the floor-to-floor rise, this handbook gives you everything else: number and dimension of treads and risers, total run, correct well hole opening, angle of incline, and quantity of materials and settings for your framing square for over 3,500 code-approved rise and run combinations several for every 1/8-inch interval from a 3 foot to a 12 foot floor-to-floor rise.
