JLB said Read it. Loved it.. I stumbled across this book a few years ago in a bookstore and literally consumed it in a couple of hours. I just bought another copy because I gave it to one of my eighth grade English students who I knew would connect with it deeply. Kevin Powell is one of the most powerful, informed, enlightened and transformational thinkers and writers of our time. He will inspire you to think more critically, to be more loving, and to passionately advocate for progress. HIGHLY recommend. For all ages.. "work of a thinker" according to Rodney Henry. I must say I read some review on here on Kevin Powells other works, and from that I thought I would want to read this book. Some how the book ended up in my hands and I thought Id read a chapter as I do all books before I purchase them. After only one page I knew I had to read this book. So its on my to read list. His words shows he is reallly thinking of waht life is. Much like the great book Life OUt of Context by Walter Mosley Powell's new piece is one worth studying.
