I found myself thinking that Jim had to be the luckiest/unluckiest b@stard alive depending on what page I was reading, and wondering how on earth he would end up in the next spot on his unbelievable journey. With characters you love (you'll really want to have a scotch with Gus) and characters you despise, this book is an amazing page-turner with vibrant descriptions that make you feel like you're along for the ride. I have been to a few of the places Jim visits and it brought back memories of when I was there. It is worth the time to read this book..
