I know many of her statements to to be true as I worked with Ellen as an Army logistician. Government workers get a bad rap as it is, but these same actions happen in private industry. To say the events and people she points out is the reason the government doesn't work degrades ot. K. Young said Boring. The writer clearly forgot the need to grab the reader from the start. The cover said hilarious, but once the introduction failed to get me to even smile, I had my doubts. I gave up after a few paragraphs into the story and will be deleting it from my Kindle.
Nevertheless, for the sake of entertaining material, she focuses on those individuals who hardly worked instead of working hard. Roberge, now retired after nearly three decades as a civil servant, makes it clear that the majority of her colleagues did not correspond to this stereotype. It will most certainly appeal to the 14.6 million currently employed Federal civil service employees, as well as all retirees (they may not like what I've written, but they'll be hard pressed to dispute it).. Enjoy the hysterically amusing, some astonishing, and irreverent but true stories of the Federal Government as I lived it for 28 years.There is something here for everyone who's ever had to deal with the Government
