Billyjack D'Urberville said The Rule Practically Applied. Unfortunately unavailable at present, this remains the best of several books now circulating by Brother Benet Tvedten, O.S.B. It was actually his breakout book, and preceded the widely received View from a Monastery. It is a practical everyday application of the Rule of Saint Benedict in straightfo. "Decent introduction to the Holy Rule" according to Adeste Fideles. Despite the popularity of his "How to be a monastic without leaving your day job" text, this is the better of the two by far. It would be nice to see a bit more depth in applying the Rule to our lives outside of the monastery but that is my only major criticism. There are many funny stories sprinkl. ckflowers said Excellent. I've read Tvedten's other books - A view from the monastery and How to be a Monastic and not leave your day job. I thought this one was the best. A good commentary on the Rule.
