"Easly 1st position, student can focus on rhythm, bowing, etc" according to NeoWave. This scale book is very good for developing right-hand techniques for the later beginner to intermediate. Because everything is in first position, the student can focus on the variety of bowing techniques and rhythms offered. If you are looking for a first position scale book for more early beginner, with simpler rhythms and bowing then i suggest A Tune A. Standard Tracy Rowe Standard repertoire for any beginning violinist. Great basic training for scale practice. I love how each scale includes covers the full range of articulation and bowings.
