The account of events leading up to and during the capture of Pickton is given by an actual police detective. No holds barred. The author tells it like it was in a refreshingly objective way (i.e. when the police dropped the ball and when they did well). He also provides some back. but like a novella jan thompson Ok, but like a novella. A short story.. A well-written book on an unbelievable true story Although I had heard of the horrific story of Robert Pickton prior to reading the book, I had no idea about the amount of police work that went into putting a stop to his heinous ways. It was fascinating to read about the efforts (successes and failures) that ultimately resulted in Pickton being locked up. There's also insight into how Pickton ran his "operation" as well as his background. The author does a great job of leaving no stone unturned. Would recommend this book to any true crime fan.
