I was a little irritated with Jonathan at the beginning of the story when he was picking apart the aide caring for him. Being a nurse, I have dealt with bitter, angry people. Let's face it, most people aren't on their best behavior when they are chronically ill and unable to car for themselves. But as the story unfolded, the enduring love between Phillip and Jonathan--told while sifting through Jonathan's memories--was something that many people never find.When Phillip's friend, Angie, seeks him out after 1. I was so engrossed from so early on, that every time I found 5 free minutes I found myself reading to figure out what was going to happen next. I could picture everything so perfectly, thanks to Rob’s colorful and descriptive writing style, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was friends with Jonathan and Philip and hearing this all firsthand.
