Emily Weil said Jack refuses to collect the soul of a new born baby. Jack refuses to collect the soul of a new born baby and when Hauser offers to do the collection for him he flees with the infant's soul box. When Hauser finally catches up to Jack he admits to him that he was an assassin who had killed many innocents and that his trainer was Enoch Gant who disappeared from his job and is now creating havoc with the soul collectors especially Jack.. Soul collecting is a hard and emotional job, Paul B. Kohler explains it so well! P.S. Winn This is such a great series, and will appeal to a lot of readers. The author has taken the story of soul collection to a new level by giving readers the character of Jack. He is a bit of a bumbler at this new job he was given and that is highly understandable if you think about it. I love the story line and I have thoroughly enjoyed Paul B. Kohler's writing and innovation in this incredible series. Book 5 gives readers a hard look at life and death and is . "A good fantasy" according to Leod Mann. I guess I am just weird but I love stories like this - something out of this world (is that a pun?). I am looking forward further development of the Jack character in future series. It is after a fantasy storyline but it has been a series that has been well developed and holds my interest most of the time in each story. Some readers may not like the concept but as I said - it is 'my cup of tea'.

At any point, you can grab the completed project, titled: The Borrowed Souls, A Novel, for around five bucks.. “What I’m about to tell you is something that I am not at all proud of.”“If it’s any consolation, I’m the last person in this world to judge,” I said.Jack struggles with the rules set upon him by the Sentinel. His initial reaction is to rebel, but to what length? Hauser, Jack's trainer in the afterlife works to bring balance and meaning to their profession, as he attempts to guide him back to reality. Jack will have to decide: continue with his eternal commitment, or forfeit the tremendous power that has been bestowed upon him. What Readers Are Saying:The author has taken the story
