Surprised at the Richness of the Beatitudes I am preparing for a retreat on this topic led by this author and in reading 'Living the Beatitudes', I can say I may have never learned so much about the spiritual life so simply.I think his approach should be found entirely accessible to anyone who has dealt with being away from God or who has suffered loss or even to someone who thinks they ar. A beautifully written and wonderfully crafted journey I didn't intend to read this book right now, but in another devotional, I came across the Beatitudes. There was a question for reflection along the lines of, "Am I taking time to really reflect on and live the Beatitudes? How can I do it more deeply?" This book came to mind, and it was as wonderful a journey as I thought it would be.Bransfield la. "The beatitudes applied to real life." according to tamara gehlbach. Two books in one, but they fit together. The first is an excellent Bible study on the story of the woman at the well. The second half is about the beatitudes. The woman has had a life of trouble and Jesus offers her fountains of living water. The beatitudes are fountains to help us live the lives that we were designed for. I like that Bible quote
