Dick". But I'm too blown away to be glib. Yes, Ms Harris' tale is as imaginative and unexpected and has left as much of an impression on me as tales I've read by PKD, William Gibson, John Brunner's Shockwave Rider (the first cyberpunk novel I ever read, oh so long ago) and even reminded me in spots of Margaret Atwood.What I'm saying is the characters are extremely well written. Meaningful, erotic, dramatic, satisfying. I've just recently finished reading this book, the final part of the Acquired series, and can heartily recommend it. I'd say this is a true cross-genre piece of fiction, doing something unusual in Western culture by writing a serious novel that seamlessly blends erotica with science fiction. The emphasis is on the plot and characters: it's very far from just a fap piece. There are serious ideas and issues considered, and the characters really do come alive. I particularly liked Jordan's ev. Dark and twisted, but at the same time incredibly satisfying and wholly erotic.
