Land of my Heart I liked the book because it was a good and easy read. I like stories of the settler days and the problems they had moving West. But in this story it didn't go into very many trials. It concentrated on relationships, which is okay, but I wanted a little more realistic travels, or more detailed troubles. It had a nice story line with the main female character, Dianne, and her trials and relationship. I would recommend it for a nice read. I enjoyed it.. Loved reading this story but did not like the ending!! Land of my heart, book 1 was a good read. The characters were well defined. The story line was believable and it was difficult putting the book down. I did expect more details about the wagon train journey. Dianne was a remarkable young lady who endured a lot of hardship. I don't like reading books in series. I like me books with complete endings. I do recommend this book.. "Adventure and romance abound." according to Dana J Harris. Wonderful historical romance with family and faith thrown into the mix. Your heart breaks for the hardships our heroine faces, along with the physical hardships of crossing out great country by wagon train. I encourage anyone who enjoys historical fiction to pick up a copy. You will not regret it.
