Great book, one of my favorite DC stories. David E Houston II I bought the original issues and I was happy to see it in a hardcover and for a great price. It was one of the few times DC really let the villain do some real evil $*** and win.I always hated the ending because it took away a major villain just as he had become major but it is still a great book that uses some lesser known characters.. meaningful justice league story with great execution The thing this story and others like it have that I've personally found lacking in the DC Geoff Johns overhaul is an overwhelming sense of humanity. In many 2000's era justice league stories the overall tone was very mature and provocative and that pattern shows true in Cry For Justice. The heroes of this story, in the wake of Final Crisis, deal with the realization that their overall reactionary efforts to maintain the status quo are ultimately unjust and ineffective which prompts, initially, green lantern and green arrow to go on a villain hunting spree in an effort to proactively confront evil . Nope Nope Nope Elizabeth Plot holes big enough to fly planes through, the chronic overuse of the word "JUSTICE!!!!", killing off characters just for shock value Yeah, not a fan.The one positive is that the art is beautiful.
