bd said I did like it, really. Three and a half, reallyI like Christopher Moore a lot,and I'm rating this against a very high standard: Christopher Moore books. if I was rating it against a standard of, say, Dave Barry books (which I also enjoy), it would be a full star higher. It's a clever, convoluted plot, told i. mellion108 said Laugh-out-loud hilarious. Christopher Moore has to be one of the most brilliantly bizarre people on the planet. Either he was dropped on his head as a small child or he was touched by the literary gods (I'm betting both). Moore does it once again in ISLAND. He presents quirky characters, a zany plot and absolut. akin to trashy romance "lamb" was lol funny. it was ridiculous. this book was not. it was trite and silly. and the main charcter is unlikeable. but i think we are supposed to like him.
