DESCRIPTION:
Steven Kellogg has illustrated more than a hundred books, including IS YOUR MAMA A LLAMA? and THE DAY JIMMY'S BOA ATE THE WASH. He lives in Essex, New York.. He has also retold and illustrated the adventures of tall-tale heroes such as Paul Bunyan, Mike Fink, and Johnny Appleseed
With clever rhymes, readers will learn to identify many animals as they follow a baby llama in search of its mother.
Perfect 10 A Customer This book by Steven Kellogg is still a winner in Spanish. It doesn't loose its rhyme or charm in the translation. As a teacher it is very usefull in teaching animals and their parts. With its same wonderful illustrations I give it 5 stars.. Sarita said Pretty pictures. For some reason my son hasn't been too into the book, but that could just be him. I really love the illustrations though. Although I have to say, some of the words are a little high level for a lot of kids (or at least they were for my two year old--they try to make everything rhyme and in so doing the vocab got harder), so I often felt the need to make up the story as I went along. If you alter the words a little, it's good for a "Pretty pictures" according to Sarita. For some reason my son hasn't been too into the book, but that could just be him.
