I have read it over and over and underlined much! So I purchased another copy.. Alaskaguy said Exceptionally thorough. This is not your run-of-the-mill how to paint book. It's fine for beginners who want a really good thorough introduction, but it also provides the depth desired for more advanced painters. Gloria Foss has provided a very well organized, detailed, and exceptionally thorough reference. I'd be thrilled to take a class that covers so much so well, but to find so much in one book is a real treat. Yes, you can find good advice in many places (see my other reviews for suggestions), but few authors go to the trouble of explaining things as well as this. Her examples. Wyota said A wonderful book.
