He searches for his friend Danny, thinking the murderer and kidnapper is Danny’s biological father, a convict. He discovers halfway through the book that the blame, in fact, lies with a different culprit, and spends the rest of the book trying to figure out how to defeat her.It is out of this structure that my main complaint arises. With Forever Odd, I found my self about half way through it and struggling to finish it. The energy and the mystery simply was not there. The novel bogs down at several points, and at other points, the narrative turns nearly childlike when Thomas interacts with other characters. The tension in most of the scenes is weak and nearly nonexistent in some others where tension is clearly called for to entice the reader to move through the c.
