"Wow.my favortie book this year" according to clg. This book was written in the 1800's by a man desperately trying to stop drinking. This book completely changed my thinking on anyone struggling with this hideous disease. It is a true story and I am overwhelmed to think of how it is still changing lives today. He takes you to the depths of his pain and struggle and gives you a first hand look into the mind and life of an alcoholic. If you read one book this year make it this one.. I'm amazed he lived so long through all that that horrible Goldie true This book shows how an alcoholic doesn't want to be the way he is. This man tried and suffered so much trying to stop drinking. I'm amazed he lived so long through all that that horrible crippling disease put him through. But I loved the ending, because he finally had victory through the Lord to find peace.. Four Stars what I have read it is a good book
