The book is an easy read, and it is better than the previous edition. I had the opportunity this summer to take the class with the older edition, but the new edition was smaller and I found easy to read. I would recommend this to any one who wants to learn more about human relations in the workplace. I am using this book in a Organizational Leadership cl. of a quarter, and it is the same edition, just not as expensive. The book is an easy read, and it is better than the previous edition. Good but Pricey I've used this text for a number of years and have found it to be excellent in many ways. The topic coverage, the reading level, the inviting format, and the up-to-date inclusion of the latest research in human relations are all pluses. However, the price of the text is exorbitant, and I'm embarrassed to tell my students that the text is required when many of them struggle with money for gas, rent, and decent food. I'm hoping that at some point the publisher will turn this into an e-book.
