DESCRIPTION:

It's Okay. GiGi This is a nice book that remains true to its comic book/graphic novel format, using appropriately murky colors. The pop-ups are fairly nice; of special note is the fierce dog in the third spread which would give small children the heebie-jeebies. The story line fairly accurately follows the original Dracula. The book gets four stars because some of the pop-ups do not open all the way, giving the characters depicted a somewhat humorous appearance, an example being the Dracula figure in the sixth spread. The little pop-u. A "Dracula" pop-up with lots of details - interesting and fun! When I saw this title pop-up in my recommended list,I knew I had to get it because it combines two of my interests - pop-ups and "Dracula" (one of my all-time favorite Gothic horror novels). The pop-ups are wonderfully done, a combination of well-crafted paper engineering and 3-D scenes. The story itself remains faithful to the original classic by Bram Stoker, though the story itself has been condensed to cover only the main details (since this is a graphic novel combined with a pop-up). All the spreads cover two pages. Great enjoyable book! My review on this book will focus on 2 aspects: the comic & the pop ups. I'll start off with the pop ups, since that's the main reason I bought this book in the first place. I'm a pop up book collector and I find this book to be a great addition to my collection. it delivers every bit of what is sets out to be. the pop ups are great to look at and slightly exceeded my expectation (I did not set a high expectation for it because i imagined that the book will focus more on the comic rather than its pop up). they are not

A superb example of paper engineering, this classic pop-up tale offers an interactive, blood-curdling experience while remaining true to the author’s original version.. Brooding images and dramatic 3-D scenes rise from the pages as the evil Count Dracula works his sinister spells on a new generation. With multiple interactive elements on every page, readers will undoubtedly shriek as they watch a cemetery’s mist inch toward them, and, just when they’ve caught their breath, try to keep in the sunlight as a stake is finally plunged into the heart of the villain. Reluctant readers, horror fans, and pop-up collectors will marvel as Dracula, the world’s most popular and feared vampire, literally jumps off the page in search of victims. In this lavish version of Bram Stoker’s Gothic tale, contemporary language and illustrations, similar to those found in graphic novels, transport readers back to Transylvania’s Carpathian Mountains, where young Jonathan Harker first meets the Count, then on to Victorian London where Dracula unleashes his reign of terror on Harker’s fiancée, Mina

Claire Bampton and Anthony Williams have, respectively, written and illustrated numerous books for children. David Hawcock is the paper engineer of Universe’s Pompeii Pop-Up, New York Pop-Up, and Architecture Pop-Up. . Bram Stoker (1847–1912) was an Irish writer best known for his 1897 masterpiece D

"You’ve seen Bram Stoker’s vampire in a kajillion incarnations before, but now Universe turns it into a pop-up book in DRACULA: CLASSIC POP-UP TALES." Bookgasm
