Another fun book from M. Ruth Myers I enjoy this author very much and will read whatever she writes. I am particularly fond of this series. The protagonist is a strong female in an era that is not female friendly, especially for a female private investigator. If you enjoy period pieces, mysteries, and detective stories you will enjoy the Maggie Sullivan mysteries. Ms Myers is a strong writer who creates interesting characters and story lines. Another fun book. Enjoy!. yes! YES! YES!!! A fantastic read. I can't say how much I enjoyed reading this mystery, Maggie Suliivan, a 1930s private eye in Dayton. The case she takes to solve a 25 year old disappearance takes her throughout the city, interacting with a variety of endearing characters, almost costing her life. She's a strong, independent woman of her day, someone id love to know in real life. The writing was smooth and engrossed me from the first page. I can't emphasi. "Great read!" according to Amazon Customer. Great read!!!! I savored this book like fine wine. Not only is Maggie one of a kind, but the language matches the time period which is a delight, like watching a Sam Spade movie. The supporting characters are fun, colorful and interesting.I hope we see many more Maggie Sullivan books.
