DESCRIPTION:
Candid and Straightforward Writing David W. Hensley I like that the book was so very candid and straightforward. As someone who has struggled with OCD since adolescence, I related to much of what the author wrote.
The author, who wants to remain anonymous, describes what it is like to live with OCD whilst depressed for all those in the same situation as well as for the family members and friends who want to help but don't quite know how. This book has been written for everyone who has suffered or who still suffers with depression, anxiety, or OCD. There is still a stigma attached to mental illness that has to be removed and hopefully, with positive steps, that will soon come. Depression now affects millions of people every single year and it is up to us to raise awareness and help those in need as it is thought that less than 50% of people with depression receive the treatment required.
