"Great for quick review" according to S. Amaro. I haven't taken the boards yet but I really like this book for quick review. It is surprisingly comprehensive! If you need something with more explanations it's not a good choice but if you want something that focusses on tested topics this is great. "A great resource, with some weaknesses" according to ALee1122. This is a great resource that helped me score 90+, but some sections are weak. Focus on the bold parts because you don't need to know everything in this book (although the thoroughness of the content is a plus). Some strong parts: Biochem is pretty good, although you can't use it alone because it doesn't explain everything, it just has charts and diagrams, which isn't enough if you don't know or remember biochem well. I used and loved Biochem for the Boards which has really great explanations, fill-ins and diagrams. Physio is phenomenal in DentE (although I loved Physi. Voltron said Not a quick reviews and possible overkill. This is not a quick review book. The book is really in depth, which could be a good thing, but it may be overkilled for dental boards. I compares this book to their Medical student version and I would say its about 80% the same material. So to me it looks like they created a book for med students and one day decided to sell books to dental students so they just took the medical school version and repackaged and changed the cover to dentessential from medessential. So you will spend tons of hours studying topics that will no show up on the exam. I personally feed there
