Amazon Customer said Focuses on the trees and loses the forest. Generally, the Preaching the Word Commentaries are some of my favorites. This one by Rodney Stortz was disappointing.First off, I believe Rodney is a very godly man who loves his congregation and has been used greatly by God. I think his own trials and endurance through hardships are a great testimony to his faithfulness. I. Roy J. Meek said Pastorally Strong. Stortz work on Daniel is written from an historical pre-millennial position with a strong emphasis on pastoral concerns. For a pastor interested in preaching through the book of Daniel this a great book. Each chapter contains a wealth of sermon perpetration help. The exegetical portions of the book are somewhat light and I . Great for Bible study teachers or students of the Bible Bibliophile In the tradition of the Preaching the Word series, this commentary explains each text from Daniel in an insightful way with lots of great illustrations and application along the way.
