As is pointed out numerous times in the text, creating useful and effective models of parts and assemblies requires advance planning and forethought. Moreover, since error recovery is an important skill, considerable time is spent exploring the created models. In fact, some errors are intentionally induced so that users will become comfortable with the debugging phase of model creation. At the end of each lesson is a short quiz reviewing the new topics covered in that chapter. In addition to these an ongoing project throughout the book is also included. The tutorial covers the major concepts and frequently used commands required to advance from a novice to an intermediate user level. User Interface, View Controls and Model Structure 2. This tutorial and the accompanying manual I bought were a very good investment. I find it always helps to have the written word when you are learning a new CAD program for reference. Highly recommend.. Great for an absolute beginner to Creo, still good for someone transitioning from other programs. Stephen Snider I've started getting into the lessons in this book, and it is definitely geared towards the absolute beginner. I've been using Creo for a few months, so much of the content of the books is review for me. However, the author does include lots of little tips and hints in the text that I think will make me more efficient. For example, I had never noticed that the datum planes changed colors depending on whether I was looking at the front or the back of the plane (brown is front, black is back). I thin. What a Mess Adam You'll kind of learn Creo. Then it starts skipping steps and referencing menus that aren't there. I had to purchase and follow this book as a mechanical engineering course. It was rough. It doesn't help that Creo is a terrible program to begin with. If you can help it, learn some other CAD software like Inventor or Solidworks.
