Compulsively readable I think this is the most readable of the OCD books; in fact I finished it in one sitting. It's also the only one written by someone who actually went through a leucotomy. Any professional who works with OCD should read it, especially someone who doesn't make a specialty of OCD but sees the occasional OCD patient. I'd still recommend Foa and Foa's "Stop Obsessing" as first choice as a self-help book, and, of course, there are seve.
