It was fairly good overall. I liked the the second and third It was fairly good overall. I liked the the second and third story which in fact could be combined into one since the same story plot is continued. The last story called The Sorrow of Akivasha was a little bit sad. As someone who worked in the evenings for many years I am able to relate to her however Akivasha is able to retain her youth during her tenure which means that we can go back and find out more things some time or else take a gift to her. That . "Conan back on form" according to danny boy. I have had mixed feelings about Truman's handling of the Dark Horse Conan saga. The prose appears to fall short of Busiek and Truman's drawings are always suspect and the artists he has worked with on Conan are hits and misses.Surprisingly in this collection of short episodic stories, I find them quite enetertaining. This is due in no small part, to the efforts of the artist Paul Lee who draws like Cary Nord and even does an awesome painted Sorrows of Ak. Zack Davisson said Conan the King. Fill-in issues are often thought to be a necessary evil of an ongoing comic series. There will always be times when, due to illness or unexpected disaster or any other reason, the regular writer/artist team simply can't make the deadline.
