Avoid this Thomas book, as if it was Diesel 10 !! I'm the father of a soon-to-be 3 year old & for the last year I have ( accidentally ) become a Thomas the tank Engine aficionado; NOT of the TV show or videos, just the books & toys I wont waste your time, heres the deal, this book is the LAMEST, WEAKEST, LEAST IMAGINITIVE book I have ever had the misfortune of buying for my son & I. My lttle guy LOVES the lift a flap books, and the Thomas series has had a LOT of good ones ( Thomas the Tank Engine's Big Lift . "Really nice book" according to peejay. I couldn't believe the other reviewer's comments, so I thought I'd post my own opinion. It's true, there's not a lot of excitement going on in this book, but I really love it, and my kid loves it, too. The reason we both like it, I think, is that the island of Sodor looks so inviting! The background is beautiful, the flaps are well-done and blend in perfectly with the rural background; we love looking under boxes and tarps and seeing baby chickens or apples fi.
