DESCRIPTION:

parent and teacher said The entire Bone Series-great for 10yr old boys who are reluctant readers. My son never enjoyed reading until he discovered three series of books: The Wimpy Kid series, Captain Underpants series and now the Bone Series. There are nine books, and my son is presently reading number 5. He reads it on his own, for pleasure. It's tough finding books that capture his attention, so the Bone series is a winner!. Great graphic novel John Borgoy This graphic novel is suitable for children as well as adults. My 10-year-old grandson loves it, and his parents and I also found it enjoyable.. "The Dragonslayer" according to Douglas B. Weekes. A great edition to the series. I recommend that you buy the whole series because at the end, they will leave you hanging!!!

This distinct combination makes it the best kind of children's book. In Bone: The Dragonslayer, the first volume of the second Bone trilogy, there is conflict, sometimes involving violence. When Bone first came on the scene, critics raved about it, often mentioning it as being "fun for the whole family." Jeff Smith has always been wary about others labeling his work "for children," partly because he knew that "no topic of human experience--from the introspection of Peanuts or the politics of Doonesbury to the lyricism of Pogo--was beyond the wonderful world of comics." He was also cautious because he knew that the story he was telling was going to deal with issues and themes graver than Saturday morning's cotton-candy cartoo
