I am a beginning watercolorist so I feel completely free to explore every approach and technique. I've already read (and purchased) many watercolor-related books, most of which have given me the sense of "sitting at the feet of the master" to some extent. For this reason, Annette Kane's book was very refreshing for me. Aside from the fact that Ms. Kane is undoubtedly versatile and talented (the pictures in her book attest to that), her introduction and prose are disarmingly candid, reality-based, and encouraging to someone like me who does not see herself as an Artist (capital "A").She explains that "[my] success has resul. Purchased this book after checking out a copy from my local library. I wanted my own reference copy to refer to.. "Being Bold With Watercolor" according to Shirley. The title to this book is misleading since it primarily, in my opinion, presents traditional techniques rather than "bold" ones
