For example in Jim's courtship of Helen, the episode of the Daffodil Ball is omitted. Let me demonstrate. 'In Let Sleeping Vets Lie' chapter twenty three begins: "After the night of the Daffodil Ball I just seemed to drift naturally into the habit of dropping in to see H. Can't tell you how disappointed I was when the end of the book showed itself. I missed seeing the PBS television version many years ago, however, the movie in my head was ever so entertaining! Yes, read it!. "Beat book I have ever read. I read about 8 books a month, and this is at the top." according to neal f brown. i cannot say enough for the beauty and humor in this book. the characters are the best ever developed and y ou feel like you know them personally. the stories just don't quit!! At night my husband and I would read his books,laugh, and almost could not put them down. If you love animals, enjoy great stories, and humor, then this isthe book for you!!
