"One Star" according to Nora Brahe. I do not like this large format. I reordered the book in a regular book size. "A peek at history" according to Jeanette Armstrong. Author Hamlin Garland tells you about his life in the late 1890's and it's very informative. Garland was a man who made his living by writing, which was unlike anyone else in his family, who were farmers breaking the new sod of the Dakotas. I was surprised to know how much he traveled via trains. He was quite an explorer with a curiosity that took him all over the United States and the Alaskan territory. He even went to Europe, all the while gathering kn
